Separate replacement of cracked glass
Glass replacement on a phone is, of course, the most requested service, and our company is not only a leader in providing this service, but also a pioneer. In 2015, we began practicing cracked glass repair on smartphones where the glass and display are one single unit. The first models our engineers started restoring were iPhone and Samsung Galaxy, namely the iPhone 6 and Samsung S6 Edge — flagship models of that time. Repairing broken glass was not so popular back then, and hardly anyone except Ai-Yai-Yai performed such repairs. Over time, equipment appeared, and most large workshops changed their direction toward repairing broken displays.
What equipment is used for smartphone glass replacement?
Glass replacement is a whole production process with a separate work line, specialists, and equipment. Our company works with the best equipment available on the market in 2026, namely:
- TBK laser separator. This device allows rear glass and screen glass to be replaced in the shortest possible time without damaging smartphone components;
- Youmijia (YMJ) glass and screen bonding machine — an automatic vacuum unit for bonding the glass panel to the smartphone matrix;
- additional equipment: vacuum autoclaves, laminators, and vacuum ovens.

Display replacement
The second most popular service in our company. To replace the display on a smartphone, specialized equipment is not always required, and on some budget phone models, the screen can be replaced without equipment, using only a screwdriver and glue. However, we are talking specifically about the models that are most often repaired at Ai-Yai-Yai: below we will list the most popular models of this year and attach photos.
Replacement of a broken display on a phone is performed when:
- the phone screen has stripes, black spots, artifacts, or dead pixels;
- the touchscreen does not respond across the entire screen area and has “dead” zones;
- the display does not turn on and does not work.
In the last case, it is always necessary to restart the smartphone first, because a software failure is possible, and also reconnect the screen flex cable. But if both procedures do not help, only then should display replacement be considered.
A case when display replacement on a phone is required and replacing only the glass is no longer possible:

The phone fell and the glass cracked:
- turning off the phone;
- heating the smartphone in a thermal oven and then removing the back panel or screen, depending on the model;
- disconnecting the battery from the system board;
- removing the motherboard;
- disconnecting the faulty screen from the frame;
- cleaning the frame, preparing it for the installation of a new display, and applying adhesive;
- installing the new display and assembling the device.

Charging port replacement
As an honest service center, we always recommend that customers who contact our company to replace the charging connector on their phone first try to clean the port from dirt by themselves before visiting the workshop. There are many cases when a smartphone does not charge not because of a malfunction, but simply because debris has accumulated in the port during use. If preventive cleaning does not help, only then should the port be replaced with a new one.
Broken rear panel replacement
Replacing the rear glass on a phone takes an average of 2–3 hours, and the duration of the repair depends only on the design features of the smartphone itself. If the rear glass and smartphone frame are one single piece, as in the case of iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro, replacing the back panel will take 4–5 hours. If the glass is a separate part and is attached to the smartphone chassis only with sealant, as in Samsung A15, Samsung A14, Samsung S25 Plus, and S23 Plus, the restoration will take only 2–3 hours.
Cleaning a smartphone after water damage
This is the most resource-intensive and time-consuming procedure in our workshop, because it includes not only disassembling and assembling the smartphone, but also cleaning the system board with a chemical solution, and often soldering components of the motherboard that have been affected by corrosion. Based on many years of experience servicing devices, if a phone has fallen into water, the most reasonable decision is to disassemble it and clean the internal elements from liquid that has not yet dried as soon as possible. The longer the device remains without cleaning, the lower the chances of saving it painlessly for the owner.
