Our company has been servicing Samsung smartphones since 2012. The first models we accepted for service 14 years ago were flagship devices of their time, such as the Samsung Galaxy S2 and later the S3 — the predecessors of today’s Samsung S26 Plus and Samsung S26. Of course, it is hard to imagine now, but those models, which may seem outdated today, were once perceived as something highly technological, especially when compared with modern devices such as the S25 FE or S23 Ultra. The direction of smartphones with AMOLED screens was only beginning to develop, and now it has reached a level that in 10–15 years will also seem technologically outdated.
Over the years, almost every released model has passed through our Samsung repair service. We know nearly everything about the weak points, defects, manufacturing issues, and characteristics of each model. Naturally, over such a long period, we have developed our own repair methodology, focused on specific services, and become professionals in them. Glass replacement on a Samsung phone
Glass replacement on a Samsung phone is the most popular service in our workshops. Ai-Yai-Yai specializes in restoring broken glass on Samsung smartphones, as well as on smartphones from Doogee, Xiaomi, Apple iPhone, Oppo, Pixel, Oukitel. Due to the popularity of the brand in our country, glass repair specifically on Galaxy devices is our main area of work.What is Samsung Galaxy glass replacement and how does it differ from full screen replacement?
Samsung glass replacement is the restoration of the upper glass layer of the display that has been damaged as a result of physical impact. The glass protects the screen matrix, so in most cases it takes the damage from a fall or hit. In modern smartphones, the glass and display are a single unit, so replacing Samsung glass at home is impossible, unlike, for example, 12 years ago.
A branded Samsung service center also does not repair glass separately, offering full display replacement instead. The difference in cost between glass replacement and screen replacement is 50%, and sometimes even 70%. Using an engineer’s comment as an example, let’s look at a case involving a customer who contacted us to replace the glass on a latest-generation Samsung:
“The customer contacted us for repair of his Samsung phone, on which the glass had broken after a fall. Why do service centers more often offer screen replacement on Samsung phones instead of glass replacement?
This procedure is very resource-intensive and requires not only highly qualified staff but also expensive equipment, which all our repair workshops are equipped with. The difficulty of the restoration lies in separating the broken glass from the display without damaging the extremely thin matrix, which is as delicate as a thread. On smartphones from 2025 and 2026, doing this manually is practically impossible. Previously, we separated the glass from the matrix using cold temperatures down to -170 degrees, but the design features of Samsung phones have changed. Now glass replacement is performed using a laser, which cuts the glass while keeping the screen intact. This is what a laser cutting machine looks like:
Therefore, replacing broken glass on a Samsung requires significant time investment in specialist training, as well as substantial material investments. Our workshops are equipped with everything listed above because Samsung broken glass replacement is our main area of specialization.
Battery replacement — the second most popular service
Battery malfunction ranks second in our branches after screen-related problems. The average lifespan of batteries in modern Samsung phones is 2–4 years, after which the battery needs to be replaced with a new one. Symptoms indicating that the battery is no longer usable include battery swelling and body deformation, fast discharge, shutdowns in cold weather, and smartphone overheating.
